How We Work

A considered process, start to finish.

Every commission is different, but the care behind it never changes. Here’s what to expect from first conversation to final delivery.

50% Project deposit secures your spot and purchases materials. Timelines run from a few weeks to several months by scope.

Step One

Consultation

We talk through your vision, the space, and what the piece needs to do. No pressure, just a conversation about what’s possible.

Step Two

Design & Materials

Together we define scope, select species and finishes, and shape the design until it’s exactly right for you.

Step Three

Deposit & Invoice

On firm interest, a 50% deposit and initial invoice reserve your build. Materials are sourced and the work begins.

Step Four

The Build

Construction is done by hand with care. Progress photos and documentation are available throughout, on request.

Step Five

Delivery

Your finished piece is completed, balanced of final invoice, and delivered, built to last and ready to be lived with.

Our Story

To follow Him through life, and in profession.

Everything starts with Jesus. All that we are, and all that we do, is because of Him.

Years ago I watched a short documentary series, Birth of a Tool, of blacksmiths and carpenters using God-given talent to forge an axe, a chisel, a knife by hand. To most eyes, ordinary. To me, it sparked something: that I too could use my hands to become a craftsman.

“Our own Lord and Savior was a carpenter on the earth. To follow Him not only through life, but in profession, is an honor beyond words.”

It wasn’t until recently that the Lord put it in my spirit to truly pursue this work, not just for personal projects, but as a service to others. After more than a decade crafting by hand, it is my pleasure to bring Good News Woodworks into the world. Now is the time to craft things, and to serve you.
